The Plymouth House is a 12-Step retreat and addiction treatment center nestled in the picturesque foothills of the White Mountains in New Hampshire. Our campus sits on 60 acres of natural land and is an idyllic place for individuals to begin laying the foundation for lifelong recovery.

Since 2002 The Plymouth House has been utilizing an intense 12-Step process to help individuals recover from addiction. The Plymouth House’s founder, Tom S., believed wholeheartedly in the power of the 12 Steps to transform lives. The Steps give individuals the spiritual and emotional tools necessary to lead purposeful, joyful, loving lives.

In 2021, The Plymouth House joined Guardian Recovery Network, a national leader in substance use disorder treatment. The Plymouth House has combined its expertise as a successful 12-Step retreat with Guardian’s world-class medical and clinical care. We have expanded our medical and clinical staff to include primary care physicians, and licensed psychiatrists. In addition, we are now able to provide access to treatment services using private health insurance, which can mean little to no out-of-pocket cost for guests.

The Plymouth House’s core 12-Step process combined with expert medical and clinical care, provides the strongest foundation for clients seeking long term recovery.

Plymouth House was an amazing experience for me to help with not only alcohol addiction but trauma. They teach us that alcohol and drug abuse are symptoms of much bigger issues we need to deal with and then their expert and caring staff assist us in dealing with those issues.

I have been to multiple rehabs before, but this was one of my greatest experiences. The location is beautiful and homey, the staff are very polite and caring, and the whole facility is kept clean and well managed. Each group was something different, and always kept me engaged. I can’t say enough how helpful my individualized therapy and 12 step coaching was. They always made accommodations to keep me comfortable and happy, I never felt like I have in some other facilities like I was alone or disconnected from the world. I extended my stay as long as I could and would recommend this program and facility to anyone who needs a real start to the 12 step program of recovery. Religion was never pushed, I always felt comfortable in having my own journey through it. The meditation was helpful and the food is the best I’ve had at any rehab I’ve been to. Please consider this place highly if you are ready for a new and loving approach to your recovery.

Just when I thought my life was over - The Plymouth House offered a fantastic program based around the 12 Steps and their program has helped me tremendously in regaining the integrity of living life sober.I was assigned an incredible treatment team that was attentive, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. They met my need of needing to feel capable of being sober.

I have nothing but positive things to say about The Plymouth House. This place saved not only my life… but gave me the tools to make the pivotal changes in my life to do and be better. Kerry (my therapist) is brilliant and really put her all into helping me help myself. Jim (12 step contact) is the man and really helped me look at where I was falling short in my step work. Joe provided incredible insights and was extremely empathetic and reassuring on top of having deep insight into the roots of addiction and life itself. I want to shout out every single staff member there. They’ve all helped me in one way or another. These people really care and want to help people. No BS. And they practice what they preach. I will forever be grateful for this place. I feel like I’m on a different footing now (mind you I’ve been to treatment 7 other times). This time it was different. Right place, right mindset and right situation. God is good. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone!

I had been in and out of treatment centers and unable to hold any lasting length of sobriety until I went to The Plymouth House. Now I have over 3 years sober and attribute that all to the foundation I was able to build at this facility, and especially from the amazing dedicated staff that helped me to get my life back.
