An Admissions Process That’s Simply Straightforward
Taking the step to seek help for yourself or your teenager is one of the most important decisions a family can make. At The Plymouth House, we have designed our admissions process to be as simple and stress-free as possible, so that nothing stands between your family and the care you need. Most families can complete the entire intake process in as little as 15 minutes. From your first call to your first day of care, our team handles the details so you can focus on what matters.
What to Expect During Admission
Clients and their loved ones interested in The Plymouth House can expect:
- Compassion — We understand what you are going through and promise to do everything we can to help.
- Honesty — We will always provide you with honest answers and information about our program.
- Transparency — We will explain in detail your insurance coverage or how your self-pay program will work.
- Helpfulness — We understand this can be a difficult time and you can lean on us. We’ll be there 24 hours a day to answer questions and help anyway we can.
1. Contact Us
Reaching out for help takes courage, and we want to make that moment as easy as possible. When you contact The Plymouth House, whether by phone, form, or chat, you will be connected immediately with one of our Treatment Advisors. Our advisors bring personal experience to every conversation, either through their own recovery journeys or through supporting a loved one through treatment. They understand what your family is going through and are ready to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
2. Pre-Assessment
Your Treatment Advisor will conduct a thorough complimentary pre-assessment to develop a clear picture of your teenager’s needs and determine the most appropriate path forward.
During this pre-admission call, our team will take the time to learn about your teenager’s specific situation to ensure that The Plymouth House is genuinely the right fit for their needs.
The Treatment Advisor will ask questions about:
- The client’s history of substance use
- Family history
- Physical and psychological health history
- Current medications
- History of treatment
Once the pre-assessment is complete, it is reviewed by our medical and clinical teams, who begin building a customized treatment plan tailored to your teenager’s unique circumstances. Your Treatment Advisor will then walk you through insurance verification and help address any questions about treatment costs.
3. Insurance & Cost
The financial side of treatment can feel overwhelming, but it does not have to be. Many families find that their health insurance covers the full cost of care. For those without insurance coverage, The Plymouth House offers self-pay options including payment plans and zero-interest financing so that cost is never a barrier to getting help.
We Accept Insurance
We accept most major health insurance plans. When calling, be prepared to share the following:
- Client’s full name and date of birth
- Name of insurance provider
- Member ID or policy number
- Type of plan
Our team will contact your insurance provider directly to verify your benefits and coverage. Your Treatment Advisor will then translate all of that information into plain language so you know exactly what is and is not covered before making any decisions.
Self Pay Options
If you aren’t currently covered under insurance, there is no reason to worry. We have several different options available for you, we will work with you to find the best way to help you move forward.
4. Admission
We will help get you to our facility, complete the intake and get settled-in.
When your teenager arrives at The Plymouth House, they are welcomed by our dedicated intake team in an environment designed to feel supportive rather than clinical. Every new client receives a comprehensive clinical evaluation and has the opportunity to review and discuss their personalized treatment plan. From there, they are given a tour of the facility, introduced to their primary therapist or case manager, and oriented to the daily program structure and guidelines. Individual therapy schedules, group session times, and case management support are all covered during this initial orientation so that your teenager knows exactly what to expect from their first day forward.
We are committed to helping your family navigate every step of the recovery process. The hardest part is making that first call. Once you do, The Plymouth House will take care of everything else.
