Excellent
It’s very hard for me to put into words the amount of appreciation i have towards the Plymouth House.Ive struggled with addiction for 30 plus years and unfortunately been in many treatment centers. It wasn’t until i arrived and went through the process here that i finally got it.The Plymouth house has a unique way of driving the message home. Its with how they expose the spiritual side of things as well as working the the 12 steps. Then you add into the mix of the faculty…From top to bottom the dedication they have with the guest is unmatchable..Its doesn’t take long to realize how much they really do care.
I arrived at the Plymouth House a broken man. And that is not hyperbole; I was truly devoid of joy or soul, a shell of a person with a path of wreckage in my wake. I never fathomed I would have such a transformative experience here. My mind and body literally came back to life, and I’ve discovered parts of myself that I had long forgotten - amazing parts!

If you need help and are reading this while on the fence about going away to a residential/inpatient program then you are like I was. I’d never been to inpatient and had somewhat limited exposure to the 12 steps. Out of desperation I made the choice and it was literally one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. But arrive with an open mind and be as receptive as you have the capacity to be.

Before I went, an alumni described this place to me as like the “Hogwarts of recovery” - in my experience that was spot on. I’ll never forget my experience there. And when I have more time under my belt I’ll be returning whenever possible for certain meetings that they allow alumni to attend.
I have been to a lot of different treatment facilities, it has been a long journey for me to find a place that truly cares about the understanding of addiction and how to help get someone that is struggling with this disease.

Walking into Plymouth house I had no idea what I was walking into, but this place has saved my life in every way possible. The staff that cares for every single person that has walked in here, the clinical team making sure we take care of our lives outside of here, and all the other clients I’ve gotten the honor to heal with. I would 100% recommend coming here if you are looking for help i promise you will not regret it!
I went through the Plymouth House for residential and PHP and found that this program is much different than other programs I’ve been to. Plymouth house really focuses on the 12 steps, fellowship and being of service. Staff has helped me tremendously through my sobriety journey. My treatment team has taken the time to help me with my needs. The foods great and the community here is enmeshed with love.
My time at The Plymouth House was truly life-changing. I spent 23 days in the residential program followed by 17 days in PHP, and I can honestly say I left with a stronger foundation, a clearer mind, and a renewed sense of purpose.

From the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by a compassionate and knowledgeable team. I was provided with a dedicated 12-Step contact, a clinician, and a case manager—each playing a crucial role in my recovery. The support was consistent, personalized, and delivered with genuine care. Having access to medical staff throughout my stay also gave me a sense of safety and stability that allowed me to fully focus on my healing.

When I arrived, I knew nothing about the 12 Steps. My 12-Step contact walked me through each part with patience, clarity, and lived experience. The Plymouth House doesn’t just teach the 12 Steps—it helps you live them. By the time I left, I had completed my 7th Step and felt confident moving forward and continuing the process with my sponsor.

Of course, there are rules and certain things I might have liked to see done differently—but that’s part of being in a recovery program. Those boundaries exist for a reason. They help teach us to surrender our own will, especially since our will is often what led us to needing treatment in the first place. Learning to let go and trust the process was a big part of my growth.

Another thing I’m truly grateful for is the people I met there. I made friends that I’ve stayed in contact with since leaving, and having that continued support from peers who understand the journey has been incredibly meaningful.

What stands out most is the sense of community. Staff and peers alike create an atmosphere of understanding and encouragement. You’re not just another client—you’re a person they truly want to see succeed.

If you’re looking for a place that combines compassionate care, real accountability, and a deep respect for the 12-Step process, The Plymouth House is exceptional. I’m deeply grateful for my experience there and for the tools I now carry with me into the next chapter of my recovery.
I had an amazing experience at the Plymouth House. I did their detox, residential and PHP programs. I've been to many treatment centers and nothing had stuck until the Plymouth house. The staff are amazing--so knowledgeable and caring, many of them having gone through the Plymouth house themselves--the food is great, the facility is clean and well-run. However, what really makes the Plymouth house stand out is the way they take you through the 12 steps.

At the Plymouth house, they don't just get you sober. They go above and beyond by showing you how to live a fulfilling life in recovery, and that, to me, is what really sets the Plymouth house apart from other treatment centers. I would recommend the Plymouth house to anyone struggling with addiction.
